Danny Roman brings more than 30 years of public safety experience to the Crimes Against Children Foundation. He has served alongside executive leadership of the nation's third largest police department, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
Roman began his career with the LAPD as a student worker, and went on to serve his community for 34 years before retiring as a Sergeant. During his illustrious career he worked a wide variety of assignments, including patrol, narcotics, organized crime, vice, internal affairs and community relations. Early in his tenure he was tasked with (helping restore the public's trust and officers' reputation in the aftermath of LAPD's Rampart scandal).
As an officer he played a critical role in implementing and developing the framework for community policing that would make the LAPD a true pioneer in community policing strategies.
